Bedfordshire Doing Well in Active People Survey

The latest Active People Survey results from Sport England show an increase in the number of people over 16 in Bedfordshire doing at least 30 minutes of exercise or more a week. The figures put us above both the regional and national averages.

The most recent survey - up to October 2015 - shows an increase from 34.8 per cent to 38.9 per cent of people achieving the once-weekly 30 minute target. The regional average is 35.6 per cent and the national average is 35.4 per cent.

The national results for the Active People Survey showed an overall increase in the number of people regularly playing sport - 15.74 million in the last 12 months to the end of September, up by 245,000 compared to the previous figures.

So, people of Bedfordshire - well done! Check our New Year's programmes to keep up the good work.
