As part of the Women and Coaching Project; Reach into teamBEDS&LUTON the County Sport Partnership awarded Dunstable Road Runners (DRR) a bursary to help support 2 of their female runners become run leaders. The running club implemented a beginners running programme; couch to 5k over a 10 week period to encourage more runners to join the running club and get involved. The impact was overwhelming...

team BEDS&LUTON in partnership with Active Luton recently organised a Female Only National Pool Lifeguard Qualification course at Inspire Sports Village in Luton to help train women to be deployed into the local community as lifeguards. This course was part of the Women and Coaching Project and tailored to the needs of the BAME females attending. Sixteen brave women from Luton put their names forward...

Over 4,000 people have benefitted from Sainsbury's Inclusive Community Training, which is designed to improve the skills and confidence of those who support disabled people to be more active, and is a creative and informal development opportunity.
One such beneficiary is newly-qualified football coach Joseph Malasi, who attended an AK4A session ran by teamBEDS&LUTON last year.
